Hillsborough Dukes Pee Wee Football Teams Honored

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ  - The Township Committee presented proclamations at a recent meeting congratulating the 2017 Hillsborough Dukes Pee Wee Football team and the Pee Wee Junior Squad for their successful 2017 seasons.

The Pee Wee team won the 2017 Jersey Valley Conference Championship and advanced into the third round of regional playoffs placing seventh in the Eastern region out of 140 teams.

 The Junior team also won the 2017 Jersey Valley Conference Championship, junior division,and advanced to the first round of regional playoffs.

The 2017 Hillsborough Dukes Pee Wee football team was led by head coach Mike Spinelli, team manager James Moran and assistant coaches Frank Arcidiacono, Joe O’Donnell, James Moran, Alex Toth and Todd Oram. Team members included: Julian Brunelle, Zion Harrison, Kyle Kolans, Luke Laifer, Justin Lebron, Jesse McCrea, Donovan Miller, Jack Moran, Jack O’Donnell, Tyler Oram, Brady Post, Logan Press, Jackson Roberts, Michael Schmelzer, Lucas Scott, Chris Spinelli, Joelle Stout, Douglas Toth, Philip Unangst and Ryan Vandermeer.

The 2017 Hillsborough Dukes Jr. Pee Wee Football team was led by head coach James McDermid, team manager Greg Barker and assistant coaches Philip Grohe, Brian Hayden and William Strachan. Team members included: Brenden Barker, David Dewberry, James Grohe, Alexander Groza, Cole Hayden, Jackson Jankowicz, Joshua Malek, Logan McDermid, Heath Miller, Mitch Miller, Edryn Morales, Jamel Powell, Jason Roser, Austin Sieberg, Peter Sorbera, Jason Strachan, James Wagner, Alexander Wildgoose and David Yacka.
