Hillsborough GOP Hosts "Magical" Fundraiser for Ciattarelli

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ - The Township Republican Election Committee is hosting a martini party and magic show Friday night, Feb. 10 at The Landing, 311 Amwell Road to benefit the gubernatorial candidacy of Assemblyman Jack Ciattarelli, R-16th.

Ciattarelli, a Hillsborough resident, announced his candidacy for the Republican nomination at Manville High School last October, and formally kicked off the "Jack4Guv" campaign Jan. 19 at the Somerville Elks.

The Republican Gubernatorial Primary is June 6th; Ciattarelli's chief opponent is Lt. Gov. Kim Guadagno, who has served alongside Gov. Chris Christie for seven years.

Ciattarelli's wife, Melinda, will mix and mingle with guests.

Magician Will Fern, 2011 International champion of Strolling Magic, will provide the entertainment.

The Martini party begins a 6 p.m. and ends at 9 p.m.; hors'd'ouvres will be served. 

Single guest donation is $75; couples, $110.

Somerset County Flags at Half-Staff to Honor Grace Gurisic, First Woman Freeholder

SOMERVILLE, NJ – Somerset County will fly its flags at half-staff July 12 in memory of Grace A. Gurisic, who served as the county’s first woman freeholder more than half a century ago.

Gurisic passed away June 9; she was 84. Funeral services will be held 8:30 a.m. Thursday, July 12, from the Vander May Wayne Colonial Funeral Home in Wayne. A funeral mass will follow at St.
