Hillsborough Hires Two Police Officers

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ - The Township Committee last week authorized the hiring of two police officers recommended by Police Chief Darren Powell.

Both officers have previous experience in other towns.

Officer Patrick Farrell, 27, has been working as a police officer for the Camden County Police Department. Farrell completed the Camden County Police Academy in September of 2015.

Officer Jacob Lawrence, 24, has been working as a part time police officer with the Borough of Lakehurst.  Lawrence completed the Ocean County Police Academy in July of 2017.

The two new officers were sworn in at the Township Committee meeting on Tuesday, May 22  by Mayor Gloria McCauley. Both were joined by their families, Powell and members of the Township Committee for the swearing-in ceremony.
