Hillsborough HS Senior Brynne Briegs Earns Gold Award

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ - Brynne Briegs, a senior at Hillsborough High School, and member of Girl Scout Troop 60261, has earned her Gold Award.  

Brynne’s Gold Award project involved creating a pollinator garden at the Municipal complex to enable pollinators, such as Monarch butterflies, a place to lay their eggs as well as to educate the community on various garden options. In addition to building the garden, she hosted a planting day for younger Girl Scouts and made several public presentations on the topic of pollinators. 

Brynne is a member of the National Honor Society, on the executive board of the National Tri-M Music Honor Society, and is involved in the Hillsborough High School Wind Ensemble. Brynne is headed to the University of Connecticut in the fall to study Cognitive Science. 

The Hillsborough Township Committee honored Briegs with a proclamation at a recent meeting.
