HILLSBOROUGH, NJ  - The Hillsborough Library staff has helped to enlighten residents about cultural diversity with special programs recently.

​Visitors experienced a rare backstage look into the Chinese opera when Yonghong Jia presented From Kun to Jing Opera: A Brief History. The makeup and transformation process were explored. Jia then treated patrons to a mesmerizing vocal performance on Aug. 7..

The branch, part of the Somerset County Library System of New Jersey, hosted an afternoon celebrating the culture of India, past and present, with Seema Moondra on Aug. 15. She is the founder of Enjoy Explore India.
