Sourland Mountain Spirits, “New Jersey’s first farm distillery since prohibition,” opened their doors in Hopewell Township earlier this year.

Flounder Brewing Company of Hillsborough will return with “Rock’n the Sourlands” the hoppy wheat blend created just for the Sourland Music Fest. Flemington’s first craft brewery, Lone Eagle Brewing Company, will offer a variety of their signature IPAs. Buy a Sourland Music Festival insulated mug and receive a discount on beer refills. Participants may also choose from a selection of award-winning wines by Unionville Vineyards of Ringoes.

There will be plenty of non-alcoholic refreshment as well: freshly pressed juices from Brick Farm Market, Sourland coffee, tea, lemonade, soda and more!  Free water will be available all day – bring your refillable bottle or buy a reusable Music Fest mug! Please support our local vendors and leave your cooler at home.

For some folks, the focus will be on the food. Fresh, fantastic entrees, snacks and desserts from local food trucks and vendors will delight every palate: Brick Farm Market pulled pork, Aroy D Thai Elephant truck, Maddalena’s cheesecake on a stick, Northeast Kettle Korn, Philly Fry specialty fries, The Ice Cream Parlor, New World Pizza, Sourland Coffee and more. Hillsborough Applebee’s will serve classic hamburgers and hot dogs and donate all proceeds to the Sourland Conservancy!

New this year, The Ryland Inn will provide a VIP experience offering abuffet from executive chef Chris Albrecht, using locally-sourced, sustainably-grown food, a unique Sourland Punch, and a $25 Ryland Inn gift certificate with each ticket - all in the VIP tent close to stage. A limited number of tickets are now available for $80. To learn more or purchase tickets, visit http://www.sourlandmusicfest.org/tickets/

For music lovers, of course, it’s all about the bands.  The Sourland Music Fest always features the finest local blues, jazz, folk and rock.  This year’s line-up offers more New Jersey favorites than ever: The John Ginty Band, JD Malone & The Experts, Tom Tallitsch, Russell Norkevich, Lisa Bouchelle, Karl Dietel 5, The High Hearts.  Visit http://www.sourlandmusicfest.org/lineup/ to see photos and bios of these amazing artists.

This year’s Fest will offer several new family-friendly features with hands-on activities and demonstrations for kids of all ages to enjoy: a Big Rock climbing wall, bouncy house, Sourland Cycles test track where participants can ride new cycles and electric bikes, timber frame construction demonstrations, alpacas and live wool demonstration, and the new Cool Critters environmental education area will introduce Fest guests to Sourland birds, bats, turtles, snakes, insects and more, courtesy of Conserve Wildlife Foundation, Mercer County Park Commission, New Jersey Audubon Society-Plainsboro Preserve, New Jersey Beekeepers Association, Stony Brook-Millstone Watershed and Swallow Hill Alpaca Farm.
