BRIDGEWATER, NJ - A Hillsborough woman was taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick after her vehicle crashed into a utility pole on Route 22 Thursday morning, according to Bridgewater Township Police.
Police were called to Route 22 West in the area of the Bridgewater Diner at 10:36 a.m. Thursday after receiving reports of an overturned vehicle.
Irene Muigai, 20, driving a black Honda Civic, left the roadway and crashed into a telephone pole, causing the vehicle to overturn, according to police
Finderne Fire Department, Green Knoll Fire Department, North Branch Fire Department and Robert Wood Johnson Mobile Intensive Care Unit responded.
Muigai was pulled from the vehicle, police said, and taken to RWJUH for her injuries.
