Hillsborough Police Charge Motorists with Drunken Driving, Possession of Marijuana

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ - Township police on Friday released the following details on arrests that resulted from motor vehicle stops over the past two months:

11/10/2017 - Rennell Moreau, 23, Newark NJ, was arrested for Possession of Marijuana after being stopped in her vehicle on Route. 206. She was also charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and issued summonses for having CDS in a motor vehicle and using a hand held cell phone while driving.She was processed and released pending a court appearance.

11/17/2017 - Panell Thornton, 19, of Skillman NJ, was arrested for Possession of Marijuana after being stopped in her vehicle on R0ute 206 at Amwell Road. She was also charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and issued summonses for having CDS in a motor vehicle, failing to maintain vehicle lamps and failing to exhibit documents. She was processed and released pending a court appearance.

11/17/2017 - Pedro Yera, 22, of Camden NJ, was arrested for Possession of Marijuana after being stopped in his vehicle on Route 206 and Omni Drive. He was also charged with Failing to deliver CDS to a Police Officer, and Possession of Paraphernalia. He was issued summonses for having CDS in a motor vehicle and failing to maintain the vehicle lamps. He was processed and released pending a court appearance. 

11/22/2017 - Kris Knudson, 64, of Manville NJ, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated after a motor vehicle stop on Route 206 at Amwell Road. He was also issued a summons for failing to obey the traffic signal. He was processed and released pending a court appearance.

11/25/2017 -  Alexander Macphee, 19, and Nikhil Patel, 18, both of Hillsborough NJ were arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana after a motor vehicle stop on Auten Road. Nikhil Patel was also charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and issued summonses for having CDS in a motor vehicle and speeding. Both were processed and released pending a court appearance.

11/27/2017 - Oscar Lainezcallejas, 27, of Flemington NJ, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated during a motor vehicle stop on Amwell Road. He was issued additional summonses for failing to stop before making a right turn at a red traffic signal and making an improper turn. He was processed and released pending a court appearance.

12/02/2017 - William Ramirez Jr., 62, of Somerville NJ, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated after a motor vehicle stop on Route 206 and New Amwell Road. He was issued additional summonses for careless driving, failing to maintain a lane, having an uninsured vehicle, and failing to exhibit a registration. He was processed and released pending a court appearance.

12/06/2017 - Joan Kozlowski, 61, of Hillsbrough NJ, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated as a result of a motor vehicle crash on Route 206 and Brooks Boulevard. She was issued additional summonses for careless driving and having an uninsured vehicle. She was processed and released pending a court appearance.

12/09/2017 - Danielle Bone, 27, of Hillsborough NJ, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated as a result of a motor vehicle stop near Amwell Road. She was issued additional summonses for failing to maintain a lane, and failing to exhibit a driver license, registration and insurance card. She was processed and released pending a court appearance.

12/10/2017 - Manish Amin, 47, of Hillsborough NJ, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated after being stopped in his vehicle on Route 206 and Meadowbrook Drive. During the stop, Amin also provided a false name. He was additionally charged with Hindering Apprehension. He was issued additional summonses for failing to install an interlock device and for driving while suspended. Mr. Amin also was found to have two outstanding warrants from Hillsborough Municipal Court. He was processed and lodged in the Somerset County Jail.

12/15/2017 -  Falaq Mughal, 23, of Pinebrook NJ, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated after being involved in a motor vehicle crash on River Road. He was issued additional motor vehicle summonses for careless driving and failing to maintain a lane. He was processed and released pending a court appearance.

12/20/17 - Steve Pultorak, 54, of Hillsborough NJ, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated after being stopped in his motor vehicle on Eger Lane. He was also issued summonses for DWI in a school zone, and failing to stop for an emergency vehicle. He was processed and released pending a court appearance.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ – Low- and moderate-income residents can get their taxes filed during Northern New Jersey United Way’s free tax-a-thon event Feb. 2 and 3 which will include popcorn, prizes and children’s face painting.

Held at United Way’s Bridgewater office, 1011 Route 22 West, Suite 202, the sessions will take place by appointment only from 10 a.m.-7 p.m.
