HILLSBOROUGH, NJ - The township Board of Education has appointed Roberto Lugo Jr., as District Supervisor of World Languages and English as a Second Language.
Lugo will join Hillsborough Township Public Schools on or before Nov.13 from Northern Burlington County Regional School District where he served as a high school teacher of Spanish.
In addition to instructing Spanish II at Northern Burlington County High School, Lugo wrote and implemented new curriculum for the high school’s Spanish Culture & Conversation course. Lugo is also an Information Technology Instructor at Wilmington University in New Castle, Delaware, where he teaches a Master’s level course in advanced multimedia and animation.
Prior to working at Northern Burlington County High School, Lugo taught Spanish and served as the Audio Visual Coordinator at Lindenwold Middle School.
Lugo has a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from Dartmouth College in Hanover, NH and a Master of Science in Information Systems Technologies from Wilmington University.
“Roberto’s strong background in language acquisition and technology integration in the classroom will be an asset to Hillsborough students and staff members,” said Dr. Jorden Schiff, superintendent of Hillsborough Township Public Schools. “The World Languages and ESL department’s dedication to meeting the needs of the diverse population of Hillsborough will provide Roberto with an excellent foundation to grow as an administrator.”
