Hillsborough Schools Host "Screenagers" and Discussion of Tech Impact on Family

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ - Hillsborough Township Public Schools will host a free screening of the documentary, "Screenagers,” Thursday, Nov. 3rd from 7-9 p.m. in the Hillsborough Middle School Cafeteria, 260 Triangle Road.

A group discussion, moderated by current and former Hillsborough Middle School PRIDE (Peers Respecting Individual Differences Everyday) students, will follow the documentary.

The documentary takes an in-depth look at the ongoing struggles between pre-teens/teens and parents over phones, video games, social media and technology in general. The film reveals how tech time impacts children’s development and offers solutions on how adults can empower their children to navigate the digital world and find a healthy balance.

The screening of the film, “Screenagers”, is free and open to the public. All parents and caregivers who are interested are encouraged to attend. As a moderated discussion will follow the screening, this event is recommended for adults and students in grades 5-12 only.

Hillsborough Middle School students will also view the documentary and participate in a student-focused discussion in school on Friday, Nov. 4.
