HILLSBOROUGH, NJ - April is National Volunteer Appreciation Month, a time to celebrate and honor those who dedicate their time and talent to be stewards and leaders within the community through their generous volunteerism, according to Mayor Carl Suraci.

“The exceptional volunteer spirit in Hillsborough is an extraordinary asset to our community and through the program, as such it is only fitting that we take the time to recognize those individuals who give so freely of themselves in the many selfless ways in support of our community,” Suraci said.

Nominations and recommendations for volunteer recognition can be made by completing an online recommendation form at www.hillsborough-nj.org.  All recommendations will be taken into consideration, reviewed and those selected will be honored at the April 25th Township Committee meeting with a joint proclamation honoring all selected volunteers, according to Suraci.

To obtain a recommendation form, stop by the municipal building. The deadline to submit a recommendation is March 31st.
