HILLSBOROUGH, NJ - A wholesome American tradition for more than 100 years, Girl Scout cookies will be sold over the next month at cookie booths set up at several business locations throughout Hillsborough.
Purchasing Girl Scout Cookies helps Girl Scouts succeed and fund unique adventures for themselves and their troops throughout the year and helps them to support the causes they care about most. Every year, girls decide exactly what to do with their earnings— and 100 percent of the money stays local.
Cookies have helped Girl Scouts give back to their communities ever since the first-known sale of cookies by Girl Scouts in 1917.
The Girl Scout Cookie Program plays a big role in transforming girls into the change-making, barrier breaking leaders of tomorrow as they learn essential life skills that will stay with them forever.
Several Hillsboroigh troops, all part of the Girl Scouts Heart of New Jersey Council will be busy starting Leap Day, Saturday, Feb. 29 through the end of March.
