BRIDGEWATER, NJ- The Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #2137 have teamed up with the Somerset Patriots for a season-long community partnership to help those in need throughout the community.
The Eagles and the Patriots will donate $100 for every home run hit by the Somerset Patriots at TD Bank Ballpark to local charities supported by the two organizations.
The “Home Runs For Charity” program is underway and will benefit several non-profit organizations including The Beez Foundation, Operation Shoebox New Jersey, Hugs For Brady, The Arc of Somerset County, St. John’s Episcopal Church, Samaritan Homeless Interim Program (S.H.I.P.) and Easter Seals New Jersey.
“The officers and members of Bridgewater Aerie # 2137 of The Fraternal Order of Eagles is proud to be a partner with The Somerset Patriots to support and assist local charitable causes and groups dedicated to helping those less fortunate than ourselves,” said Chuck Rudolph, PWP, Secretary/Trustee Somerset Aerie # 2137.
In addition to the “Home Runs For Charity” program, the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #2137 is working through the Somerset Patriots to donate tickets for every home game to those less fortunate.
The Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #2137 has a long history of charitable work supporting both local as well as national causes. Their motto “people helping people” is the driving force behind their efforts to help those less fortunate.
Over the years, Bridgewater Aerie # 2137 has provided monetary support for programs that assist the homeless and hungry, funded scholarships for deserving high school seniors, donated to groups that assist veterans as well as local police, fire and rescue groups.
On a national level they annually donate to major medical research and treatment facilities such as Deborah Hospital, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, The Valerie Fund and The Fraternal Order of Eagles Diabetes Research Center.
