Learn About Career Training Programs at RVCC Open House

BRANCHBURG - Raritan Valley Community College will host an Open House Jan. 13 with a focus on career, professional development and technical training programs from 4-6 p.m.in the Atrium at the College Center, lower level.

The Open House will offer participants the opportunity to learn about career training programs designed in partnership with local industry that can prepare students for a new career in a year or less. The programs include auto tech, cosmetology, advanced manufacturing and HVAC. Information also will be available about:

·         - professional development and exam certification programs;

·         - computer training;

·         - technical courses;

·         - health professional courses;

·         - English as a Second Language;

·         - High School Equivalency (GED) exam prep;

·         - small business courses and assistance offered through the Small Business Development Center.

Participants will have an opportunity to meet with faculty and register for Spring Semester classes.

Somerville Honors' Student Speaks at RVCC Graduation; 1,300 Receive Degrees

BRANCHBURG, NJ - Raritan Valley Community College awarded associate degrees and certificates to more than 1,300 graduates at its commencement, Saturday, May 12, including Somerville resident Barbara Kania, an Honors College student who introduced commencement speaker Judge Paul W. Armstrong.
