BRIDGEWATER, NJ- The Somerset Patriots (19-8, 54-36) defeated the New Britain Bees (12-13, 45-43) 4-3 at TD Bank Ballpark on Sunday evening.

With the score tied at 3-3 in the bottom of the ninth inning, Craig Massey sent a walk-off RBI single to right field to hand the Patriots the series over the Bees.

“I knew [relief pitcher Sam Gervacio] liked his cutter and his slider,” said Massey. “I was fortunate that he fell behind 2-0 and eventually 3-1. I was really looking for something hard and in and found it.”
