NJCM President and Mayor of Berlin Township Phyllis Jeffries Magazzu said in a letter to Levine, "We wish to congratulate you on being selected for our Freeholder of the year award by our Executive Board. The NJCM Executive Officers will present you with your award in appreciation of your service."

Levine stated he will strive to live up to the expectations of the residents of Franklin and Somerset county, and welcomes feedback from those who disagree with him.

"I think the recognition came due to my work over the years in Franklin & Somerset County in the areas of public safety, housing, finance, human services, and constituent service," Levine said. "In addition, I have been active in the NJ Conference of Mayors around the state. It is a great organization that helps Mayors on a bipartisan basis for the benefit of our citizenry."
