NJ Audubon Society Invites Women to "Networking is for the Birds"

BERNARDSVILLE, NJ – The Somerset County Business Partnership “Women in Business” special interest group has scheduled a unique after work event, “Networking is for the Birds!” on Thursday, Sept. 29, 5-7 p.m. at the New Jersey Audubon Society Headquarters (Schermann-Hoffman Wildlife Sanctuary), 9 Hardscrabble Road.

The sanctuary includes 276 acres of woodland, field, and floodplain. Well marked trails traverse the sanctuary that serves as home to more than 60 species of nesting birds, with sightings of over 200 species. The Hoffman estate house is home to the New Jersey Audubon's Hoffman Center for Conservation and Environmental Education with an environmental education center, tree-top observation deck, bookstore, and exhibits.

“The Women in Business events at unique locations have proven to be very popular and very effective for making new business contacts,” said Diana Sieberg, vice-president of the Business Partnership. “These locations create a great atmosphere for a relaxing evening shared among business women.”

Beverages will be available compliments of Servpro of Northeast Somerset County and refreshments will be available compliments of Epona Financial Solutions.

Pre-registration is required and may be accomplished online at http://bit.ly/92916Birds or by calling 908-218-4300. Fee is $25 for Business Partnership members and $35 for non-members. Registration closes Tuesday, Sept. 27 at 5 p.m.

“Women in Business” is a Business Partnership initiative directed at the specific needs of women and their businesses. The purpose of the group is to provide learning opportunities about other women-owned businesses. Focus areas include mind, family, society, body, and finances.
