SOMERVILLE, NJ - The Somerset County Board of Chosen Freeholders and Somerset County Cultural & Heritage Division have selected the winners for this year’s fifth annual photo contest “Show Us Somerset County Through Your Camera Lens.” 

Residents submitted photos that highlighted the beauty and attributes of Somerset County, and a panel of judges selected up to three winners for professional and amateur photographs in the following categories: Community & Events, Historic Sites, Natural Environment and Recreational Opportunities.

Two entrants won in the overall professional and amateur categories for their submissions and received a $100 honorarium. Photographers whose artwork was selected for first, second and third place won a $50 honorarium.

All winners’ photographs will be featured online and in printed materials, which will be produced by Somerset County and the Somerset County Business Partnership.

Nikki Ferringo of South Bound Brook was selected as the winner in the overall amateur category for her “Fall Focus” entry. Parvathi Kumar of Bridgewater was selected as the winner in the overall professional category for her photograph “Autumn Beauty.”
