RVCC Hosts Men’s Basketball Fall Classic

BRANCHBURG, NJ - Raritan Valley Community College will host the first Men’s Basketball Lion Fall Classic, Nov. 18-19.

Teams from Community College of Rhode Island, Howard Community College (Maryland) and Rockland Community College (New York) will each play two games at RVCC’s Branchburg campus.

“We are excited to host the first Men’s Basketball Lion Fall Classic featuring teams from out of state. The tournament is a great test for us to see how we compete with teams outside of our Region,” said Amanda DeMartino, RVCC Director of Athletics.

The Fall Classic begins Nov. 18, at 5 p.m., when Rockland CC faces Howard CC. Following the conclusion of that game, RVCC will take on Community College of Rhode Island (CCRI). On Nov. 19, the action begins at 1 p.m. when CCRI squares off against Rockland CC. RVCC will face Howard CC at 3 p.m.

Somerville Honors' Student Speaks at RVCC Graduation; 1,300 Receive Degrees

BRANCHBURG, NJ - Raritan Valley Community College awarded associate degrees and certificates to more than 1,300 graduates at its commencement, Saturday, May 12, including Somerville resident Barbara Kania, an Honors College student who introduced commencement speaker Judge Paul W. Armstrong.

Kania is a Pre-Medical Professional major who is the founder and president of RVCC’s Pre-Medicine ...
