BRIDGEWATER, NJ -The Somerset Patriots (33-21) defeated the York Revolution (21-34) on Scott Kelly’s walk off single in the 11th inning before 7,219 fans at TD Bank Ballpark on Friday night.

Tyler Bortnick led off the 11th inning with a single and Aharon Eggleston’s sacrifice bunt moved him to second and into scoring position. Kelly came up with two outs and laced a single to right field to plate Bortnick for the winning run.

“The opportunity came about and I was just trying to put a good swing on it and luckily the ball found a hole,” said Kelly. “It was an all-around great effort by everybody. We persevered.”
