SOMERVILLE, NJ – The Somerset County Sheriff’s Office recently collected toys on behalf of the ninth annual “Toys for Tots” campaign.

“I am overjoyed by the response of our county residents, workers and businesses that opened their hearts to support this year’s “Toys for Tots” collection,” said Sheriff Frank J. Provenzano.  “The toys undoubtedly made the holidays merrier for many children this year.

“God bless everyone who contributed.  Their spirit of giving and desire to make children they don’t even know happy during the holidays are what make life so special,” he said.

The Marine Corps Reserve has a close working relationship with social welfare agencies, churches and other local agencies that identify needy children in the community and play important roles in distributing the toys.
