Somerset County Business Partnership Hosts Non-Profit Forum Aug. 4

BOUND BROOK, NJ – The Somerset County Business Partnership will host nationally recognized expert in nonprofit leadership, Dennis C. Miller, at a presentation on Thursday, Aug. 4 at the Brook Arts Center, 10 Hamilton St.

The session is scheduled for 4:30-6:30 p.m. and is directed to leadership of nonprofit agencies in Somerset County and beyond.
Speaking on the topic of “How to Engage Your Board,” Miller will address issues including; engaging the board in achieving strategic goals; increasing board participation in philanthropy, and recruiting new board members.

Miller is the former CEO of Somerset Medical Center and Healthcare Foundation, now working with leaders of nonprofit organizations who want a more motivated and cohesive board, inspirational leadership, and a more engaged strategic vision.

He has advised hundreds of nonprofit organizations across the country on how to improve the integration of board governance, leadership development, strategic planning, and philanthropy. 

He is the author of three books on nonprofit organization success: A Guide to Achieving New Heights: The Four Pillars of Successful Nonprofit Leadership; The Nonprofit Board Therapist: A Guide to Unlocking Your Organization’s True Potential; and The Power of Strategic Alignment: A Guide to Energizing Leadership and Maximizing Potential in Today’s Nonprofit Organizations.

His latest book, Moppin’ Floors to CEO: From Hopelessness and Failure to Happiness and Success, is his autobiography.
