Somerset County Vocational & Technical High School Recognizes 2 Hillsborough Students with Scholastic Art and Writing Awards

BRIDGEWATER, NJ - Five students from the Academy for Health and Medical Sciences at Somerset County Vocational & Technical High School were recently recognized for their contributions in the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards. 

The complete list of students, along with their respective awards and categories are:

  • Catherine Chen (Warren): Silver Key, Critical Essay; Honorable Mention, Flash Fiction
  • Rea Rustagi (Hillsborough): Silver Key, Humor
  • Kristine Chin (Hillsborough): Honorable Mention, Science Fiction/Fantasy; Honorable Mention, Flash Fiction
  • Alicia Clark (Bridgewater): Honorable Mention, Poetry
  •  Madison Hill-Glover (Bridgewater): Honorable Mention, Poetry

“This competition and others give students a wonderful outlet for their creativity. It is also important that they have a chance to earn recognition outside of the school environment for the fantastic writing that they do,” said SCVTHS English Instructor Sarah Williams.
