Somerville Business Hosts Chef's "Art of Pesto" Demonstration

SOMERVILLE, NJ –Chef Barbara Markowitz, named NJ Monthly’s “Most Raved About Caterer” will demonstrate her flair for “The Art of Pesto and Super Spring Salads and Dressings” at Aurora Kitchens & Interiors, 10 East Cliff St. on Thursday, April 21.

The Somerset County Business Partnership “Women in Business” special interest group will host the educational networking opportunity from 5:30 -7:30 p.m. 
 
Guests will watch and participate in a cooking demonstration with Markowitz. Wine and soft drinks will accompany the food.

Aurora Kitchens and Interiors is a women-owned business focused on improving the design, layout and livability of a client’s home dedicated to competitive pricing and face-to-face service.
 
Markowitz studied at the Ritz Escoffier Paris Cooking School in Paris, France and is the Special Events Chef for Wakefern/Shoprite.
 
“Combining fun with networking is the hallmark of the Women in Business events,” said Diana Sieberg, vice president of the Business Partnership. “The opportunity to learn, to dine, and to make contacts, all at one time in one place, is good for business.”

“Women in Business” is a Business Partnership initiative directed at the specific needs of women and their businesses. The purpose of the group is to provide learning opportunities about other women-owned businesses. Focus areas include mind, family, society, body, and finances.
