Somerville Man Struck by Hillsborough Motorist While Walking on Route 206 in Raritan

RARITAN, NJ - A Somerville man was struck by a vehicle while he was walking west across Route 206 in Raritan against the green traffic signal Monday evening, according to a report from Raritan Borough Police.

According to police, at about 9:43 p.m., Brian Saverino, 70, was struck by a 2010 Subaru Outback driven by Joyce Carmon, 60, of Hillsborough. 

Saverino, the report said, was walking west across Route 206 against the traffic signal there.

Saverino was taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick with head wounds and internal injuries.

Police said no charges have been filed as a result of the accident, and the investigation is ongoing.
