SOMERVILLE, NJ - Somerset County Freeholder Director Peter S. Palmer has selected 40 non-profit organizations, including several from Hillsborough, in an annual drawing for a luxury suite at the TD Bank Ballpark in Bridgewater.
The winners will have an opportunity to watch the Somerset Patriots play their home games on selected dates during the 2017 season.

“Since the time the ballpark was constructed by the county, one 30-seat community box has been available for the benefit of nonprofits and community organizations,” Palmer said. “This tradition allows us to showcase the amazing work being done by these organizations to improve the lives of Somerset County residents.”
Winners in the drawing include several emergency services organizations: Branchburg Rescue Squad, Hillsborough Fire Company No. 1, Hillsborough Fire Company No. 3 Auxiliary, Montgomery EMS, Rocky Hill First Aid & Rescue Squad, Elizabeth Avenue Volunteer Fire Company Station 26 in Franklin, Somerville CERT, South Bound Brook Fire Company Exempts and the South Bound Brook Ladies Auxiliary.
Five youth organizations and three senior groups were also selected: Manville Youth Athletic League; Montgomery Girl Scout Troop 60624 and Montgomery Township Cub Scout Pack 185; Cub Scout Pack 80 and Girl Scout Troop 60727 in Somerville; Bound Brook Seniors; Hillsborough Seniors Chapter A; and Hillsborough Seniors Chapter B.
Additional winners are Curbing Hunger Inc. and the Friends of Lord Stirling in Bernards; Giles-Biondi Post 63 American Legion and Bound Brook United Methodist Church; Literacy Volunteers of Somerset County and New Jersey Institute for Disabilities Group Home 7 in Bridgewater; A Child’s Page Inc., Canal Walk Men’s Club, Canal Walk Veterans’ Club, Central New Jersey Multiple Myeloma Support Group, Everas Community Services Inc., Franklin Township Food Bank, and the New Jersey Center for Tourette Syndrome & Associated Disorders Inc. in Franklin.
Also, Elizabeth Snyder-Continental Chapter of the NSDAR in Green Brook; Becca’s Friends and GiGi’s Playhouse in Hillsborough; The Arc of Somerset County in Manville; Janus Bereavement Support Group in Raritan; D&R Canal Watch in Rocky Hill; SAVE, A Friend to Homeless Animals Inc. and Montgomery Evangelical Free Church in Montgomery; Feeding Hands Inc. and Legal Services of Northwest Jersey in Somerville.
Winners are nonprofits whose client base consists of at least 50 percent Somerset County residents or community organizations that are located in Somerset County or have a facility based in Somerset County that serves the citizens of Somerset County. Winners provide a significant community service or volunteer element to Somerset County residents.
The Somerset Patriots will play their first 2017 home game Friday, April 21, at 7:05 p.m.
