FLEMINGTON, NJ - A special gubernatorial forum will be held Wednesday at Stangl Stage, which is located at 2 Stangl Road.

Featured will be candidates for governor running for the state Democratic Party nomination in the June 6 primary.

The moderator will be award-winning veteran journalist Rod Hirsch, a Pulitzer Prize nominee with more than 40 years experience. He is the owner and editor of TAPinto Somerville and TAPinto Hillsborough, an adjunct professor of journalism at Rider University and the founder and executive director of Operation Shoebox New Jersey.

The forum will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. and broadcast on Facebook Live.

The format will include three- to four-minute opening statements by each participant. There will be questions to each candidate in rotating order, with three-minute answers and follow-ups at the discretion of the moderator. Questions will come from audience in attendance, and viewers on Facebook Live.

Each participant will be allowed a three- to four-minute closing statement, and campaign material will be available.

Candidates who have already confirmed their participation either in person or through a spokesperson include Bill Brennan, Ray Lesniak, Phil Murphy, John Wisniewski and Mark Zinna.

The forum is presented by Progressive Hunterdon Democrats.
