SOMERVILLE, NJ - The Somerset County Board of Chosen Freeholders, in cooperation with the Somerset County Business Partnership, have announced the winners of the fourth annual “Show us Somerset County Through Your Camera Lens” photo contest for residents and county staff, designed to showcase the beauty and attributes of central New Jersey.

“We want to thank everyone who entered this year’s contest,” said Freeholder Director Patrick Scaglione.  “The Freeholder Board enjoys seeing the beauty of Somerset County through the eyes of residents and employees, and we are honored to post these amazing photos on our website.”

Judith Sedlak of Bernards was selected as the overall winner in the amateur category for her “Bee on Coneflower” entry. In the professional category, Somerset County employee Greg Backman was selected as the overall winner for his photo of a rider with her horse, taken at North Branch Park.

In addition to the overall winners, the panel of judges selected winners in each of four themes: Architecture & Urban Design, Arts & Culture, Community & Events and Natural Environment. The overall contest winners will each receive a $100 honorarium, while other artists will receive a $50 honorarium for their winning entries.
