NEW JERSEY -- Some of the Garden State's most famous sons and daughters -- including Bruce Springsteen, Jon Bon Jovi, Jon Stewart, Whoopi Goldberg, Danny DeVito, Chris Rock, Kelly Ripa, Tony Bennett, and Saquon Barkley -- are lending their support for the Jersey 4 Jersey fundraiser today at 7 p.m. for the New Jersey Pandemic Relief Fund (NJPRF).
Springsteen announced the effort last week on ABC's Good Morning America.
"New Jersey has been hit especially hard by the coronavirus pandemic, and the people of New Jersey have always stepped up during difficult times," The Boss said.
Jersey 4 Jersey will be broadcast on WABC-7, WCBS-2, WNBC-4, WPIX-11, News12, NJTV, radio stations 1010 WINS AM, WCBS 880 AM, WCBS-FM, WFAN, WDHA 105.5 FM, and Q104.3 FM, as well as E Street Radio on SiriusXM. The Apple Music and AppleTV apps will also carry the show.
The NJPRF was established to meet four critical challenges of our state in the face of the COVID-19 crisis: stop the spread, support the healthcare community, provide help for the vulnerable, and rebuild our communities. NJPRF supports organizations that provide essential services and aiding those on the front line of the pandemic.
NJPRF will provide grants to existing organizations with a demonstrated track record of caring for vulnerable communities, according to the organization's website. One hundred percent of donations will be used to fight the medical, social, and economic impact of COVID-19 on New Jersey’s most vulnerable and will support organizations that provide essential services, and aiding those on the front line of the pandemic.
Checks may be mailed to the New Jersey Pandemic Relief Fund, PO Box 338, Morristown, NJ 07963. To donate online, click here.
