Amazon.com Worldwide Consumer CEO Speaks to Hillsborough Business Association

Jeffrey A. Wilke, one of three CEOs at Amazon.com, will be the guest speaker at the April 19 Business Social sponsored by the Hillsborough Business Association.

 

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ  - Jeffrey A. Wilke, one of three CEOs at Amazon.com, will be the guest speaker at the April 19 Business Social sponsored by the Hillsborough Business Association at the Restaurant at Royce Brook, 201 Hamilton Road, from 6-8 p.m.

His topic will be “Inventing for Consumers at Amazon.”

The price of admission is $15, which includes hors d'oeuvres of fruit and cheese, salad, pasta, chef's choice of main course, soft drinks, coffee, tea and dessert station.  A cash bar will be available.

Wilke has served as Amazon's CEO, Worldwide Consumer, since April 2016. From February 2012 to April 2016, Wilke served as senior vice president, Consumer Business, from January 2007 until February 2012, he served as senior vice president, North American Retail, and from January 2002 until December 2006, he was senior vice president, Worldwide Operations.

Wilke joined Amazon.com as vice president and general manager, Operations in September 1999. He left AlliedSignal where he had been vice-president and general manager, Pharmaceutical Fine Chemicals. He spent the preceding six years in a variety of operations and general management assignments in the chemical, polymer, and electronics industries.

Wilke did his graduate work - MBA and MS in Chemical Engineering – at MIT's Leaders for Global Operations program where he focused on Total Quality and Process Improvement techniques. He began his working career writing software and leading software development at Andersen Consulting (now Accenture). He also holds a BSE degree in Chemical Engineering, Summa Cum Laude, from Princeton University.
