Throughout the course of his career as a head custodian, Cox has distinguished himself as a consummate professional and exemplar representative of the HEA.

“His level of honesty, integrity, dedication and kindness is unprecedented,” said Aiman Mahmoud, Hillsborough School Business Administrator.

Cox is known for his ability to fix anything – often going above and beyond for the students and staff of Woodfern Elementary School. His commitment extends beyond his job where he serves an integral role as an HEA representative and advocate for fellow colleagues.

“Mr. James Cox embodies every aspect of what it means to be an Educational Services Professional: advocacy for students and staff, commitment to making his school the best it can be, and superior work and achievement in all of his duties. In short, Mr. James Cox exemplifies the best in all facets of Educational Support Professionalism. I truly do not know what we would do without him,” said Steve Kerrigan, principal of Woodfern Elementary School.
