HILLSBOROUGH, NJ – State Assemblyman Roy Freiman (D-Hunterdon, Mercer, Middlesex and Somerset) is promoting a "Wash & Wag" event in partnership with SAVE - A Friend to Homeless Animals rescue shelter in Skillman.

Wash & Wag will be held at Hillsborough Elementary School, 435 Route 206 on Sunday, Aug. 11 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

“Wash & Wag is a wonderful way to provide a home for an animal in need, as well as support an organization that has worked since 1941 to rehabilitate and rehome cats and dogs,” said Freiman (D-Hunterdon, Mercer, Middlesex and Somerset). “I am excited to collaborate not only with SAVE, but also with my constituents to support such a great organization.”

SAVE is an independent, nonprofit organization that focuses on rehabilitating homeless animals through six core programs: Rescue, Shelter, Health and Welfare, Spay/Neuter, Adoption, and Humane Education. The event includes car-washing services as well as the opportunity to adopt dogs that have been rescued and cared for by SAVE shelter.
