HILLSBOROUGH, NJ - The annual Hillsborough Township Clean Up Coupons are now available for both residential access to the Auten Road Facility and for Senior Citizen curbside pickup, according to Committeeman Greg Burc hette, liaison to Public Works.
Coupons for access to drop off at the Auten Road facility and Senior Citizen stickers for curbside pickup are now available at the Hillsborough Township Department of Public Works office, l21 East Mountain Road, Monday-Friday,7 a.m.-3p.m.
The coupons are distributed on a first come first serve basis. There are 150 pickup coupons available per date.
Senior Citizen curbside service will begin on Monday, April 3rd in the northwest section of the township. Stickers are required for Senior Citizen Curbside service.
"This extensive Township clean up program is available,free of charge to ou rresidents,and was expanded to offer two Saturdays a month, beginning in April and running through October,” said Mayor Carl Suraci.
This program is for Hillsborough residents only and proof of residency is required. The drop off site, located on Auten Road, across from the Auten Road Intermediate School, is open rain or shine on the specified dates.
The purpose of the clean-up program is to allow residents the opportunity to dispose of old furniture, toys, rugs, appliances, bicycles and yard debris. Electronics and hazardous materials are not accepted. For information on recycling electronics, hazardous waste and materials not permitted at the Auten Road facility, residents can contact Somerset County Recycling Department at 732-469-3363 or visit their website at www.co.somerset.nj.us/recycle.
