'Get Fit for Cancer' Underway Today

RARITAN TOWNSHIP, NJ – While power is out across half of Hunterdon in the wake of yesterday’s nor’easter, there was no lack of energy at today’s Get Fit for Cancer events.

Over the past 13 years, Fit for Cancer has raised more than $374,000 for Hunterdon Regional Cancer Center.

Hundreds participated today in spirited cycling, Zumba, Tai Chi and other activities at locations that included Hunterdon Health and Wellness Centers, HealthQuest of Hunterdon, Hunterdon County YMCA and Riegel Ridge Community Center.

All funds raised today will benefit Hunterdon Regional Cancer Center, a partner of Fox Chase Cancer Center.

Hunterdon Regional Cancer Center services include chemotherapy, radiation therapy, clinical research, early detection and screening programs, support groups, educational programs, nutrition counseling, psychosocial support, complimentary therapies and cancer risk assessment.
