HILLSBOROUGH, NJ -Students at all nine township schools celebrated School Wellness Week recently, from discussions about physical and mental well being to yoga exercises, food tastings and cooking contests.

Discussion topics included stress management, drug and alcohol use, exercise, healthy eating and the importance of sleep. Each school provided its students with the opportunity to try something new during the week-long program.

Hillsborough students were encouraged and provided instruction on how to live healthy, from participating in a yoga assembly at Triangle Elementary School and the AWARE Fair held at Hillsborough Middle School that focused on wellness to Auten Road Intermediate School’s wellness tips for students and Sunnymead Elementary School’s “Eat 5 a Day Contest” encouraging students to eat five servings of fruit and vegetables each day.
