BRIDGEWATER, NJ – The Somerset County Business Partnership, in collaboration with Healthier Somerset, is offering a comprehensive range of free health screenings at the ”4th Annual Workplace Health & Wellness Exposition 2018,” on Tuesday, Oct, 30 from 3-6 p.m. at The Imperia, 1714 Easton Ave., Somerset.
The wellness event is held during Healthier Somerset Month, is provided as a no cost business resource for local companies and their employees.
In addition to showcasing the numerous opportunities and benefits that can be gained by employers who implement wellness strategies as a component of their business model, Expo 2018 will make available a myriad of free health screenings for employees in attendance.
The Wellness Expo will offer interactive exhibits and health screenings including blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar, cancer screenings and prevention, healthy weight, healthy diet and nutrition, and stress management conducted by health professionals from Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset, Natural Medicine and Rehabilitation, and other leading health organizations in the area.
An estimate of the cost of these free screenings based on Internet research is in excess of $4,000. Also available at the Expo will be nutritious food samplings, interactive exhibits, massage stations, and door prizes.
“The value of the screenings offered, and information available at the Expo cannot be overemphasized,” said Expo Chair Sejal Davé Sharma of RWJ University Hospital. “This is preventative medicine at its best, with tests delivered by professionals at no cost to employers or employees.”
