HILLSBOROUGH, NJ - The annual Fire District Election on Saturday, Feb. 15th will be held in the Hillsborough Municipal Complex, Multi-Purpose Room from 2-9 p.m.

All districts will vote at the Hillsborough Township Municipal Building.

There is one 3-year commissioner position open.

There are 5 questions on the ballot:

1. Shall the Hillsborough Board of Fire Commissioners of the Township of Hillsborough, County of Somerset, operate for the year 2020 with a budget of $3,800,004 and an amount to be raised by taxation of $2,785,887?

2. Shall the Hillsborough Board of Fire Commissioners be authorized to spend not in excess of $350,000 for the purchase of a fire/rescue truck?

3. Shall the Hillsborough Board of Fire Commissioners be authorized to spend not in excess of $65,000 for the purchase of a fire marshal vehicle?

4. Shall the Hillsborough Board of Fire Commissioners be authorized to spend not in excess of $75,000 for the purchase of firefighter personal protective equipment?

5. Shall the Hillsborough Board of Fire Commissioners be authorized to spend not in excess of $80,000 for the purchase of a command vehicle?
