BRANCHBURG  NJ – A motorcyclist and passenger, both identified as Hillsborough residents, were injured in a collision with a tractor trailer at the intersection of Route 22 West and County Line Road Tuesday afternoon, according to Somerset County Prosecutor Michael H. Robertson.

The names of the two injured riders were not released; the driver was identified as a man, 60, and the passenger as a 55-year-old woman Their injuries were described as serious but non-life-threatening. They were transported to an area trauma center by ambulance.

Robertson said Branchburg Police responded after receiving a call about the collision at 1:15 p.m.

There was a brief traffic delay as police investigated and cleared the accident scene.

Police did not provide any information about the driver of the trailer truck or driver.
