PISCATAWAY, NJ – Township resident Izaia Bullock, 22 was arrested on Tuesday and charged with attempted murder and conspiracy for plotting to kill the family members of an acquaintance, according to Middlesex County Prosecutor Andrew C. Carey.

Bullock, a student at Rutgers University and member of the football team, was charged after investigators determined that on Oct. 29 he initiated a plot to murder the intended victims, said Carey. The victims were not affiliated with the university. He has since been dismissed from the football team.

Bullock was charged with two counts of attempted murder in the first degree and two counts of conspiracy to commit murder in the first degree, said Carey.

He is being held at the Middlesex County Adult Correction Center pending an initial court appearance in New Brunswick.
