Police Investigate Shooting in Franklin Township


SOMERVILLE, N.J. –A 29-year-old New Brunswick man was shot and wounded in Franklin Township Wednesday, April 20 and police are searching for the assailant, according to Somerset County Prosecutor Michael H. Robertson.

Robertson said Franklin Township police received multiple 911 calls around 3:35 p.m. reporting gunshots fired in the area of Fuller Street; responding officers found the shooting victim outside a Fuller Street residence, suffering from a non-life threatening gunshot wound to his lower body. The victim was transported to a local trauma center for emergency medical treatment.

Robertson said the shooting was an isolated incident and detectives are trying to determine the motive.
