SOMERVILLE, NJ - The Somerset County Business Partnership will visit another of Somerset County’s important and influential locations when they host Somerset County’s “Networking Night” at the Steeplechase Cancer Center on Thursday, Jan. 24 from 5:30-6:30 p.m.
The Steeplechase Cancer Center is located on the campus of Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset, 30 Rehill Ave. and serves as a clinical research affiliate of The Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey.
The state-of-the-art Center provides comprehensive cancer services in a patient-focused environment. The three-story, 63,000-square-foot outpatient facility includes the latest technologies to treat cancer, providing a variety of educational and support programs related to cancer and wellness. Services include complimentary medicine programs, including tai chi, meditation, yoga, reiki, massage and image recovery, the Sanofi US Wellness Boutique and a Resource Library for patients and their families.
The facility is named in honor of the Far Hills Race Meeting, one of the nation’s most prestigious steeplechase races. Since the 1950s, the race meeting has raised more than $17 million for Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset.
“The Steeplechase Cancer Center is one of the premier medical facilities in the country,” said Chris Edwards, vice president of Business Services for the SCBP. “With RWJ University Hospital, the Steeplechase Center, and the world’s foremost pharmaceutical companies calling Somerset County home, we can justifiably consider Somerset County the center of healing.”
