SOMERVILLE, NJ - The first two Coronavirus (COVID-19) deaths have been reported in Somerset County.
The Somerset County Department of Health confirmed the death of a Bridgewater resident and a Franklin resident during a conference call with Somerset County mayors early Sunday afternoon.
No other details were provided.
The number of confirmed Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases in Somerset County also increased overnight from 44 to 56, according to the SCDOH.
Here is a breakdown by town: Bedminster, 2; Bernardsville Borough, 1; Bernards Township, 2; Branchburg, 5; Bridgewater, 9; Bound Brook, 1: Franklin, 12; Green Brook, 2; Hillsborough, 6; Manville, 1; Montgomery, 6; North Plainfield, 2; Peapack-Gladstone, 1; Somerville, 1; Warren, 3; Watchung, 2.
No cases have been reported in Far Hills, Millstone, Raritan, Rocky Hill or South Bound Brook.
The number of confirmed cases in New Jersey increased by 590 cases overnight, and now total 1,914, with 20 deaths statewide attributed to COVID-19.
