HILLSBOROUGH, NJ - The second confirmed case of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) in the township has been confirmed by Mayor Douglas Tomson, who issued the following advisory on the township website:

"Hillsborough Township is notifying residents of a second positive case of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) in the Township. The Hillsborough Township resident is currently in isolation.

"The Hillsborough Township Health Department is monitoring the resident and is working with the state to identify any potential contacts for follow-up. A representative from the Hillsborough Health Department will reach out to you within 24-48 hours if you were in close contact with this resident.

Somerset County now has 30 confirmed cases of COVID-19 as of Friday morning. The first Hillsborough case was reported earlier this week.

Other confirmed cases by town include: Bound Brook, 1: Branchburg, 1: Bridgewater, 5; Franklin, 6; Green Brook, 2; Manville, 1; Montgomery, 5; North Plainfield, 2; Peapack-Gladstone, 1; Somerville, 1; Warren, 2 and Watchung, 1.
