HILLSIDE, NJ- The 2019 USA Football Heart of a Giant Award presented by Hospital for Special Surgery and NY Giants announced their sixth and final set of outstanding Tri-State area high school football player nominees open for voting. These students have been nominated by their coaches for their commitment, teamwork, will, character and dedication.
Hillside’s own James Louis was nominated for USA Football’s Heart of a Giant Award presented by Hospital for Special Surgery and the New York Giants.
"When James Louis was a little boy, him and his parents moved to the United States from Haiti. The Louis family didn’t have a home of their own, stable employment, and didn’t know how to speak the language. Today, Louis is Vice President of National Honor Society, Hillside’s star running back, top ten in his class, and an active member of his community. Louis says football helped him find his place in society. “Football has taught me so much from being an outspoken leader to being the person who tries to get the best grades,” says Louis. Coach Barris Grant says, “his positive attitude and work ethic are contagious and motivates others around him. James Louis has The Heart of a Giant because he has demonstrated that with hope and hard work nothing is impossible.” James Louis; Hillside High School (Hillside, NJ)
