HILLSIDE, NJ - As part of an initiative to make Hillside a safer environment, the NJ Climate Save Movement has spearheaded efforts to clean up local New Jersey Communities. In a recent interview with Representative Armando Cruz; he explains that the NJ Climate Save Movement is a grassroots organization born out of the need to protect the environment and its wildlife. Cruz goes on to say that in just one year of operation, they have managed to impact five prominent locations including Elizabeth, Conan Park, and Rutgers Ave Park in Hillside. NJ Climate Save Movement warns residents that excess Garbage accumulation affects our environment in many ways, from contaminated drinking water to attract disease-carrying animals.

“When you want to see a change, you want to be a part of that change. Be the change you want to see, and that will have a trickle-down effect.” –Armando Cruz

Armando closes by saying that one person can make a difference, but together we are that much stronger. Cruz hopes that this initiative inspires residents to engage in maintaining the environment actively.
