HILLSIDE, NJ - Mayor Dahlia Vertreese announced on Tuesday the municipality would provide free food packages and gift cards on Wednesday, April 8, to over 200 families in need of assistance during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The giveaway is from 11:00-1:00 pm at the Hillside Community Center parking lot.
“During this national crisis, we’re fortunate to have local businesses willing to support Hillside residents in need,” Vertreese said.
Local businesses Union Beverage, Community Food Bank of NJ, Domino’s Pizza, Speedy Mart, Garguilo Produce, and the United Way contributed to the care package.
