HOBOKEN, NJ - What was once an empty parking lot has been transformed to allow for Hoboken Grace to launch outdoor services every Sunday. If you’ve driven through the northern end of Hoboken, you may have seen the newly turfed space dotted with orange and white umbrellas. After months of meeting entirely online, Hoboken Grace has created a unique way for people to once again gather and connect.
The outdoor services, offered, weather permitting, at The Lawn located at 1429 Adams St. on Sundays at 10:00 am and 11:30 am. are perfect for those who feel more comfortable gathering in open spaces, church officials say.
Attendees are asked to bring their own beach chairs or towels to sit on during the service as there are no chairs provided on site. Restrooms are available and masks are required. Grace Kids is not offered at these services. All kids registered will sit with their parents.
Attendees are encouraged to take their own temperature before leaving home and asked not to attend if they are experiencing any symptoms of illness such as fever, cough, or shortness of breath and / or at least two of the following: fever, chills, repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, and new loss of taste or smell. Hoboken Grace will also be taking temperatures prior to entering the services.
In addition to The Lawn, Hoboken Grace is continuing to provide interactive services online for those who are not comfortable or able to attend in-person. Those attending virtual services on Sunday morning can engage with live hosts and chat with others who are attending online. Services are also available on-demand during the week by clicking here.
In-Person Service Registration
Every Tuesday at 5:00 pm registration will open for all the in-person Sunday services. In order to meet government regulations, social distancing, and safety protocols, registration for all services is required.
Attendees can register by visiting the Hoboken Grace App or by visiting the website and clicking the top banner. Seating will be limited and spots go fast so don’t hesitate; register with your family, friends, or quarantine group to lock in your spot.
Be sure to jump online to register and “choose your adventure.” Invite your friends and family and join Hoboken Grace as they kick-off the new series "Unequal" this Sunday!
