HOBOKEN, NJ - Now you can think globally, act locally, shop locally. In the midst of what continues to be a red-letter year for environmental awareness, the City of Hoboken has recognized 25 local businesses that have taken steps toward sustainability to become part of the Green Business Recognition Program.
“I’m glad to see our local small businesses doing everything they can to help preserve and protect our environment,” said Mayor Ravi Bhalla. “Everyone can play a part in helping reduce our carbon footprint, and I thank our business owners for their dedication to a more sustainable future for Hoboken.”
Mayor Bhalla and the City of Hoboken recognizes the following 25 businesses as 2020 Hoboken Green Businesses:

Maintaining a focus on environmental issues over the past decade, the Hoboken Green Team launched its Green Business Recognition Program in 2017, in an effort to distinguish local businesses that are advancing sustainability and environmental responsibility. Hoboken's Climate Action Plan, launched in 2019, seeks to achieve carbon neutrality in Hoboken by 2050 and exceed the goals of the Paris Agreement.
Businesses looking to qualify for the Green Business Recognition Program should complete an application on the Hoboken Green Team website.
