HOBOKEN, NJ - After crashing into a car, a 58-year-old Hoboken man was arrested for DUI Wednesday morning.
Just before 7:30 a.m. Hoboken Police Lt. Michael Costello and Officer Christopher Barrel responded to a motor vehicle collision near 7th & Park. Robert Johnston, the driver involved, appeared to be under the influence based on his actions and appearance on scene, they reported.
During their investigation, officers located a second parked vehicle a block away that was allegedly struck by Johnston. He was arrested for driving under the influence, and also charged with Failure to Exhibit a Driver’s License, Failure to Exhibit an Insurance Card, Possession of Prescription Legend Drugs, and Leaving the Scene of a Motor Vehicle Accident (based on the other parked vehicle, allegedly struck by his car).
No one was injured during in the collision, and Johnston was released to a responsible person later in the day.
