HOBOKEN, NJ - On the eve of Small Business Saturday, we're reminded just how vital the holiday season can be for small businesses. This year, amid months of restrictions on retail and hospitality, the need to facilitate commerce for local businesses is that much greater.
Starting Saturday, November 28, Mayor Ravi S. Bhalla, the Hoboken City Council, and the Hoboken Business Alliance are offering discount parking in municipal garages to encourage socially distanced shopping and dining. Hoboken residents and visitors will be able to park in Garage B (28 2nd St), Garage D (215 Hudson St), and Midtown Garage (371 4th St) on Saturdays at a rate of $5 for four hours.
“We are thrilled to see the City supporting our businesses by providing parking incentives for consumers to shop in Hoboken,” said Greg Dell’Aquila, President of the Hoboken Business Alliance. “This should be a great opportunity for all businesses and customers. Thank you to Mayor Bhalla and the City Council for this initiative.”
The rate is available every Saturday through the months of November and December—November 28, December 5, 12, 19 and 26.
